This blog is for the Contessa 26 sailboat called Over Draft II owned and operated by Tony Guarnieri, Geri and Don Wagner.

Over Draft II is a 1973 Contessa, designed by Jeremy Rogers and built in Toronto by J.J. Taylor. We thought this blog would be a good site to trace the development of our connection with Over Draft II, and a place to share our experiences.

About Me

My photo
Blossvale, NY, United States
I recently retired from Syracuse University, in the College of Arts & Sciences as Manager for the Languages Multimedia Labs. I teach scientific communications for SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry. I have been interested in sailing since a trip to the Bahamas in 1980. Finally, my wife and I purchased Oriana, a 26ft Herreshoff. We hope to sail thru the doldrums of Oneida Lake and eventually through the Erie Canal, down the Hudson, to the blue waters off Long Island Sound, up the coast of Maine to Bar Harbor. Meanwhile, I look forward to teaching scientific writing again this year.
